What's your business, and who are your customers?
As a business and life coach, I can work with anyone to improve their lives, but I primarily work with financial and insurance professionals to grow their business to the mid-six figures and beyond.
Tell us about yourself
I was a successful but unhappy lawyer who nearly died from cancer and complications at 41. I believed that my health issues were related to the stressful 60-hour weeks I worked. I'm on a mission to help people avoid the stress and burnout I went through by making their business profitable and fun.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Turning my life's mission into an enjoyable, profitable business.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
As business owners, we make decisions every day that could end up either working for us or costing us dearly. And while we can do our research and due diligence and ask for advice, in the end, it's OUR call.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Don't listen to the well-meaning people who try to talk you out of doing it. They're afraid, and they express that fear in the hopes it will protect you. Follow your heart.
- Know your strengths and weaknesses and get the help you need to work on your weaknesses.
- Don't try to do it alone. The most successful business people had partners, coaches, or teams to help them.
