What's your business, and who are your customers?
We help small business owners and CEOs who need their marketing & sales systems automated but don't want to touch the tech or do it themselves. Our From Audit to Automation™ service connects strategic planning, process documentation, technology, automation implementation, and data to help organizations optimize and grow.
Tell us about yourself
I'm a Certified Automation Service Provider™. I got my start with my very first business in 1997 as a professional organizer. I have also had a web design business. I love technology and utilizing it in business. In 2015 or so, I started shifting my business more towards the online space and using my organizational skills to get business owner's backends together. After meeting my mentor in 2016, I started down the path of digital marketing and marketing and sales automation. I became certified two years ago and haven't looked back. What motivates me is seeing and hearing the relief in a business owner when you take the pressure off figuring out the technology pieces for them. Being able to give them time, freedom, and the ability to focus on what they do best is priceless.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner was finding a mentor/coach and getting my certification as an automation service provider. It was not easy, but so worth it. It has helped me to reach new heights in my business as well as keep my skills sharpened so that I can provide the best service to my clients.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing that comes with being a business owner is all of the work you have to do upfront to make sure it's smooth sailing later on. There have been a lot of late nights and early mornings. Especially when you first start out, you are wearing all of the hats.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Make sure you get your backend in order first. Prepare for where you want to be and how many you want to serve before you get a ton of clients or sell a ton of products.
- Document, document, document! All of your processes and make sure it is in a place that is easy to find and access by anyone in your company. This is crucial to making sure you, as the business owner, don't become the bottleneck in your business with how to do things stuck in your head.
- Hire technology! Technology is your friend, and you should think of it as an employee of your business and not a foe that is there to make things more complicated. You don't have to be tech-savvy to utilize technology in your business. That's why my business exists to help those who aren't and have no desire to be but want to take advantage of how technology can move the needle in your business.
