What's your business, and who are your customers?
The name of my business is "A WARRIOR'S WAY LLC. A WARRIOR'S WAY LLC is geared towards fostering, igniting, and cultivating a healthier community by way of physical well-being, emotional well-being, as well as mental. Our aim and mission statement is to provide the community with knowledge about how to eat better, feel better and be better. I believe that Health is Wealth, and when you feel better, you are better. Our mission is carried out by providing fitness workshops and fitness classes for local recreation center youth as well as re-igniting the desire for a healthier lifestyle throughout the entire community. We organize community fit-fun boot camps. My customers are any individual that has any desire to be better within these mentioned dynamics.
Tell us about yourself
My name is Sa'id, Abdul Wahid. I am a lifelong athlete and lifelong learner. I grew up playing football, basketball, and boxing, so I have always taken to sports. However, there came a time along my journey in life when I realized that everything inside of me that I ever thought was great; I wanted to share those very same pieces with someone else. There came a time when I realized that my hopes of being successful with sports, pro boxing or pro football player had passed the time. However, this was also a turning point for me; I realized that I could pour all of my passions and all of my hopes for greatness into someone else to help them accomplish that very greatness..so I started personal training. I was naturally good because of my continual athleticism. It wasn't until I started really paying attention to each individual's journey that I began to develop a passion. I begin to find myself at my best-encouraging others to reach their best. It was then that I knew this is what I needed to be doing; this is where I belonged....being a part of a journey of greatness, man, it's like no other feeling. It keeps me humble, keeps me selfless. When my feet hit the floor, I don't have to go to work...I get to go to work. See, it's a blessing and honor to remind someone how strong they are and to be a part of reinventing one's self-esteem. I wouldn't trade this journey for the world.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner so far has been being blessed with the opportunity to work with one of the young men from the Rosedale Recreation center 10u football team. To have the blessed opportunity to help inspire, strengthen and encourage this young man is amazing. This is my first client.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing for me has been financial restrictions that I am sure would propel my business in an efficient way.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
The first tip I would give to someone is to identify the gift, the strength that they have. If it can align congruently and is a service that is in demand and potentially lucrative, write it down and construct a business plan. Now within this business plan, identify what the service is that you intend to provide, why there is a need for it, who your targeted customers are, and how you will effectively provide it. I would advise my fellow entrepreneurs to follow these tips.
