What's your business, and who are your customers?
The Travel Coach Network is a global community of travel coaches who help people set specific intentions and purposes for their trips in order to gain the transformative experience that they desire. The TCN has travel coaches, travel agents, travel advisors, life coaches, transformation coaches, health experts, and more in the community.
Tell us about yourself
I struggled for years to figure out my ideal career path. After graduating with a degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management in 2010, I bought a one-way ticket to Ireland, packed a backpack, and began traveling to "figure out my life." Despite learning about the various travel jobs that existed, none of them suited my interests. I realized I wanted to become a Wellness Travel Coach and empower companies to get more authentic and holistic in how they sell, market, provide, and value travel. At that time, many other travelers were asking me about travel coaching and where I learned about it. Since I created my own space, I started the Travel Coach Network to guide and help other passionate travelers become travel coaches or enrich their travel business through using travel coaching.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I have created the world's first and only ICF-accredited program for travel coaches around the world. I also am a TEDx Speaker this October 2022.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Learning how to delegate tasks and roles to others to free up your time to work on bigger tasks.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Find a void or shortage in an industry that you're passionate about. Don't be afraid to create your own space or pave your own path, even if no one else is doing it yet or "gets it." Keep on going, as success will come with consistency and perseverance.
