What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am an Audio Producer and Voice Actor. My clients can range anywhere from corporate entities to authors in need of a strong, powerful voice for their audiobooks.
Tell us about yourself
Believe it or not, I originally only pursued Voice Acting because people repeatedly told me I should. It’s as simple as that. The rest is history. I love what I do, and I love lending my voice to those who need it. Reading has always been a passion of mine. Having the opportunity to network with different authors and bring a voice to their books truly gives me joy.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Mentoring other aspiring Voice Actors is one of my biggest accomplishments.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Getting denied or declined by clients is tough, but you can’t be afraid of rejection. Life is full of adversity. The word “NO” can be a hard pill to swallow, especially in the world of freelance business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Don’t be afraid of rejection.
- Networking.
- Step outside of your comfort zone as often as possible.
