Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in food and beverage but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Reuven Flamer, CEO of Natural Food Certifiers, located in Nanuet, NY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Natural Food Certifiers is a full-service certification agency, including USDA Organic, Kosher, Vegan, NO GMO, NO Gluten. We love our customers' customers who pursue their path to health and wellness. Our motto: "Embrace the Miracle of Life."

Tell us about yourself

I founded Natural Food Certifiers, the first Kosher ONLY natural food NO GMO certification agency, the first Kosher USDA organic certification agency which also manages certification programs for Vegan, Gluten, and non-GMO. I began a long time ago in a universe far away when I opened the first natural food coop in the Laurentian Mountains in Quebec with a commune of city folks wanting to leave Montreal for cleaner pastures.

I also have been teaching Kabbalah for three decades. My background in organic and natural foods, learning with Tony Robbins, developing the flow states described by ‎Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, I draw from various disciplines to connect every day to the deeper stream of " finding the soul." My long-term goal is to replace the experience of psycho-pharmacological with the genesis of the Mystical, naturally from within. I say, " Embrace the Miracle of Life."

Each session will leave you with a practical structure to implement if you so choose. Reuven ( he prefers not to use titles) was born in Montreal, Canada, and currently lives in Pomona, NY. The first session this evening will introduce and sculpt a deeper view and sense of the soul, appreciate the nexus of body and soul as a viewfinder, and lense to parts as yet unknown, though right in front of all of us. Everything depends on learning how to look at what we are being shown.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is committing to my principles and not giving them up for money, marketing, trends, or other cool hip influences in the marketplace.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The most difficult challenge ( and the most frequent) is not losing sight of the goals and principles when confronted with challenges and surprise curve balls thrown at you!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Start your day with gratitude, prayer, and exercise.
  2. Tell the naysayers in your head to take a walk.
  3. Be clear of your WHY. Why am I doing this? (no, not to make money - what is the inner why?)

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Send me an email anytime. I would love to hear your story and share mine if it is of benefit to you.
