What's your business, and who are your customers?
New View Concepts is a life coach training and certification company. We train people who want to become Personal Response-Ability Coaches (life coaches) from our #1 International Bestselling Coach/Client Manual. Our Coaches open their own private coaching businesses, and as entrepreneurs, continue to educate themselves and coach and teach to become all they can be. We are so proud of our coaches, and so excited about the work they are doing to change lives for good.
Our program has been so successful that my husband and I created the GO Broken to Beautiful Foundation, The Prison Project. We take our coaches (if they so desire), our #1 International Bestselling Manual, and our courses to jails and prisons nationwide to end generational abuse, crime, indigence, and addiction.
Tell us about yourself
I coach female inmates and felons. The remarkable positive change in these women is absolutely miraculous. My cup is filled daily. We teach quantum thought tools that help clients stop their negative thinking patterns so they can direct their lives on purpose—with purpose. This business fills my heart to THE MAX!
I have an alcoholic daughter. Kacy has been in and out of jail/prison for DUIs for the last 20 years--thankfully, never harming herself or anyone else. She is the reason we are even on this very sacred journey. I'm grateful to report Kacy is now sober.
Early on, as Kacy found herself in that first jail, seeing such a need for help, Kacy vowed she would someday open a treatment facility or 3/4 house to help women coming out of jail. As I visited her there, I also recognized most of the women had never felt loved, important, needed, or appreciated. I dreamed someday I would also help teach them the skills needed to not only become stable--but to thrive. It was more of a wish back then, and it was heartbreaking to see these women so desperate.
But miracles have happened! Not only do my husband Jesse and I train and certify Personal Response-Ability Coaches (life coaches) to launch their own private coaching businesses, but those coaches that want to can also volunteer to coach and serve this marginalized, forgotten community of people, teaching these women (and men) they ARE important, they ARE needed, they ARE children of God--and their lives matter!
I am proud to say my daughter is also opening her first treatment house! So much good has come from so much pain.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The biggest accomplishment is seeing dramatic, positive life changes in our clients. Nothing—absolutely nothing—I have ever done in all my career as an entrepreneur has been this important, this needed, and this rewarding.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Having enough time and managing cash flow.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Focus on essentials.
- Keep it simple.
- Have a system of accountability.
