I am a motivational speaker, author, and CEO of Relevant Speaker. The world is our customer.
Tell us about yourself
Relevant Speaker came to life when I saw a need for speakers who wanted to get their message out to the world but didn't know how. So Ty Bennett, Chad Hymas, and myself created Relevant Speaker. What motivates us to keep it going is that everyone has a story, and there are those out there in the world who need direction to have the courage to share that story. So relevant speaker helps speakers build their speaking business.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Our biggest accomplishment at Relevant Speaker is when we see our students become successful in getting paid speaking gigs. But also to see the difference they make when they're on the stage and changing people's lives.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Continually staying relevant is one of the hardest things. Staying ahead of your competitors and being creative in an ever-changing world.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Understand where you are right now mentally, physically, and emotionally.
- Build a routine and habits that will allow you to keep going when things get hard.
- Setting big goals is OK, but working on the little goals first will help you achieve the big goals later.
