What's your business, and who are your customers?

Hello, fellow human! Are you struggling with finding love, social anxiety, or a rocky relationship? You want to love and accept, but finding and keeping human connections is hard. You know you need tools, a plan, and confidence to use them. Where can you find reliable advice? The Relationship Center can help. We help socially anxious professionals, singles seeking loving relationships, and couples adjusting to major life transitions. We offer online therapy, dating coaching, and couples counseling in the Bay Area and across California. At the Relationship Center, our relationship therapists have supported countless individuals and couples just like you to better understand themselves and discover the tools they need to find happiness.

Tell us about yourself

I want nothing more than to fill the world with more playful, real, deeply meaningful, healthy relationships. I've always been mildly obsessed with love, intimacy, what makes people tick, and finding the seemingly-impossible path through trauma toward living an unapologetically authentic, joyful life.

I'm here to help trauma survivors develop secure attachments. If you're not an attachment theory nerd like me, that's fancy therapist-speak for "I want to help people feel confident and joyful in their relationships." I do my best to walk my talk outside of my work with clients, too. On my 80th birthday, I hope people say that I love with an unguarded heart.

What I most love about being a therapist are the moments when my clients feel unconditionally accepted in all their rough rawness, sometimes for the first time in their lives. Those a-ha moments where they stumble upon the undeniable fact of their lovability and the fierce courage of their sensitivity.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Seeing many of our single clients go on to get married and have children!

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Managing your own psychology. Building a business is stressful and requires grit, determination, and resilience.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Get help. You don't have to do this alone.
  2. Expect ebbs and flows. Keep the long game in mind.
  3. Take care of your mental health.
