What's your business, and who are your customers?

Reiki Awakening Academy is an online school of intuitive development, offering classes with personal guidance in energy healing, developing inner peace, and professional certification for Practical Reiki Instructors and Intuitive Counseling.

Tell us about yourself

I'm Alice Langholt, Ph.D. Seventeen years ago, learning Reiki changed my perspective on reality and ignited a passion for bringing this amazing gift to others. I became fascinated with learning more, got certified in EFT, Introspective Hypnosis, and also studied many forms of meditation. I earned my Ph.D. in Philosophy with a concentration in Metaphysical Parapsychology. I've written 23 books on self-care and healing to help busy people harness their inner power for well-being. I'm motivated each day to help people learn to access inner peace, increase intuition, and have better health, naturally.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner was opening my own school online and growing a student base from around the world. There are people out in the world teaching Practical Reiki, which I developed, and helping others as I helped them. It's wonderful to know that I have had an impact in these ways.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Reaching more people. Helping people who could really benefit from my services find me. In short, marketing is the hardest part.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Don't doubt yourself. Put the best of what you have to offer out there, and then find people who can help you spread the word.
