What's your business, and who are your customers?

Rebel Boutique is a Women’s Clothing boutique catered to all sizes. Our customers are trendy but comfortable in any size.

Tell us about yourself

I grew up with family-run businesses, and I always wanted my own. As a young woman, I have always found it difficult to find clothing in my size that is still trendy. I want to create a space where other curvy women can find the trends they enjoy in their size and not feel separated from their peers.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment was taking a leap into something I was passionate about while 8 months pregnant, working full-time, and caring for a small child.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

My toughest struggle as a business owner is creating a schedule or plan and sticking to it. You have to make a decision daily to stick to the plan, and it is very easy to let simple things get in your way. It’s like going grocery shopping when you are hungry, and we all know our decisions and purchases are not what they should be at that time.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Make a plan.
  2. Stick to the plan.
  3. When you fail, get back on your feet.
