What's your business, and who are your customers?
I have several businesses, but my two main ones are www.geniuslitter.com, which is a fast-growing DTC company in the pet space; we sell health-indicating cat litter. The second business is www.growthhackert.tv, a podcast and weekly newsletter with growth strategies, tips, and stories from founders.
Tell us about yourself
I am a serial entrepreneur and have started many businesses since I was 18 years old; many failed but had some home runs. I love the challenge of starting a business and figuring out how to scale the business; that is really what I am passionate about.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I started a blog about soap operas and sold that blog for close to 9 million dollars.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
There are a lot of hard things, but for me, probably the emotional rollercoaster, things never go up in a straight line, and there are always ups and downs.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
If you are starting, don't overthink it; just start and optimize from there. You can always pivot and improve later down the line.
