Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Nada Mesqui, Founder of Raindrop Movement, located in Rijeka, Croatia.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a Leadership & Embodiment guide for women. I work with female leaders, entrepreneurs, and caregivers who want to stop the cycle of overthinking and overgiving and step into a healthier, more empowered way of being. My Raindrop Movement ™ method is a combination of mindset coaching, integrative somatic therapy, and free movement, all packaged together in a seamless 60-minute embodiment practice.
Tell us about yourself
Working as an executive leadership coach for over a decade, I witnessed hundreds of successful female leaders struggle with self-belief and self-confidence, even when their track record tells a different story. As a leader and entrepreneur herself, I experienced those same challenges repeatedly. Until one day, I understood: "for us women to feel confident and trusting in our own power, we need to feel deeply connected to our own Feminine. Yet, to be a functioning leader in today's world, we need to be grounded, centered, and connected to our Masculine." This is why Raindrop Movement ™ was born; for women to remember their true essence and learn specific tools to embody & integrate both their DRIVE and their FLOW. To help women find that balance of yin (feminine) and yang (masculine) because that balance brings a sense of safety in our body and helps us step out of surviving and into thriving.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Seeing women get rid of lingering anxiety & depression and remember their power. Witnessing clients find their purpose and make bold steps towards it. And, of course, creating a life that allows me to support myself and my family while serving others, being a present mother, and doing what I love.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Feeling like you are all alone in it. This loneliness creeps in waves, and it is so important to have a support system of kick-ass women who can hold you when needed.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
There is no better time to do it than now! Seriously, begin today. There are so many amazing support groups, tools, and funds available that the only thing stopping you is YOURSELF (if that is the case, call me LOL). Start small but think long term. "How can I increase my chances of scaling what I have to offer." Find your support tribe and show up for your business consistently. Be in a healthy relationship with your business talk about your business like you would talk about someone you love and believe in. Normalize failures but expect success. You got this!
