What's your business, and who are your customers?

Radiate Wellness provides a woman-centered and functional approach to healthcare. We are an online practice of functional nutritionists serving women throughout the US, who have felt their needs and concerns have been dismissed by conventional medicine. Using the skills of functional nutrition, the data from functional testing, and the heart of the relationship, women are able to get to the root cause of their health complexities and feel great in their bodies.

Tell us about yourself

Becoming a Functional Nutritionist was a combination of my love of working in women’s health and my own health crisis that hit in 2011. It was then that I realized that the body could not be taken for granted. With two cancer scares in one year, I decided to take my health into my own hands, guided by the intelligence of functional medicine. As a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner, I use data and mindfulness techniques to motivate change. My client relationships are filled with loving connections and precise planning.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is bringing efficient, integrative care to women in need. Whether they are in an urban center, overwhelmed by options or struggling to find the time in the busy day, or if they live in a health desert but know there are crucial pieces missing from their healthcare team.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Having big dreams and little capital.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Build your capital first. It will take 3-5 years to create stability. Build a team that not only works well together but as a whole and meets the needs of your client base.
