What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a church community dedicated to reminding people that they matter. Our customers are people of faith who suffer from church hurt, mental illness, and just life in general.
Tell us about yourself
I have been in ministry for over 20 years. I am currently the Senior Pastor of Promises Church, a church plant in Philadelphia, PA. I'm a church kid that actually believes I can help people. God created each of us to be amazing; sometimes, life has a way of causing us to lose sight of that. I do what I do to remind folks that they matter and were created to do great things.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I set up 37 minority-owned businesses in 2021, 45 to date. That's quite a feat and an honor.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
There doesn't seem to be enough time in the day to do all the things you want. As a new business owner, there are also restrictions when it comes to being able to hire all the help you need. That's a struggle. You learn to navigate and work with what you have, but you also know you can do so much more.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Genuinely choose a business that you care about.
- Do the research. Study your industry and your competition.
- Follow the data. Use the data.
