What's your business, and who are your customers?

We coach and consult with high performers to co-create consistent and sustainable peak performance. What do we really do?! We help business owners' dreams come true!

Tell us about yourself

During a 20-year career in the banking industry and when living in the Philippines in 2011, I really started my personal development story. I found myself asking, 'what is happiness?' that started me on the path. My reflection here is that life isn't about 'finding' a purpose or a calling; for me, it is about creating the person I want to be.

I'm now privileged to work with businesses every day on the principles I discovered to help them compress time. I have seen so many examples of the same principles and concepts that they jump off the page (or through the screen!) to me. That's what juices me up – my product is my client results.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Thriving after the first three years! You can't change the world if you don't exist. It's no secret that MOST businesses fail. In my business, I live the principles that I work with my clients on – changing, upgrading, and holding the standard is what I'm most proud of. That means making a commitment to an outcome, being flexible in the journey – but consistent in execution! Zero clients to a $400k + business in 3 years.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

I believe in keeping it real, focusing on what's important – that's not to say we should bury our heads in the sand. Being aware of challenges in our business is crucial. But leaning towards action will always give you more info to take new and better action. New action = New results. No new action = No new results! It's not enough to keep going, we have to take defined new and large action!

Owners and leaders are always the biggest blockage in our business – what we believe and our skill level. Understanding and owning this is a huge challenge, and you can't see most of it yourself!

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

This is what I do! These go in order; a bonus tip is to not move on to the next before completing the previous. So easy to fall down on this.

  1. Know where you are going. This is so cliché – that's why we are prone to overlook it. You have to know this, and specifically, it has to be written down and shared with others you trust.
  2. Know your reasons. People will tend to take the path of least resistance – if you are in business, things are ALWAYS going to happen to get in your way. You need to have a stacked list of reasons to remind yourself why you are doing what you are doing. Then, at least, you can see it regularly. You will get off course; these will help pull you back on. Create your own gravity.
  3. Get a coach! Yes, obviously, I'm going to say that. But I believe in what I do so much if I don't say this is removing a ton of value! There is no finish line in business. You don't just one day have it figured all out -  you need people around you to continue to help you check in on points 1 and 2 and provide the appropriate cadence for success. What do all the most successful people and businesses have?! Plenty of support from people around them.
