What's your business, and who are your customers?
Prime Time is a Montreal-based clothing brand supporting the new generation of sports (snowboarding, wakeboarding, cycling, surfing ...) Always innovating and pushing the limits while having fun are important values for us and motivate us to continue doing what we love: offering original clothing in limited editions.
Tell us about yourself
This whole story started with a dream in mind to open a "board shop." Not a penny in my pocket and even less in the bank account ... How to do it? Creative and determined, I had the idea to finance my project with a t-shirt! Yes, it all started with five t-shirts, then 10, 20, and so on. Skateboarding, wakeboarding, skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking, including longboarding and, above all, surfing (new drugs or religion). Everything is there, never professional, but always fun!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
During all these years, we have seen several small "brands" born and then die. Forced to see that we are very happy to be able to shout again!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Always question yourself, and keep pushing for new ideas. It gets hard on yourself.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Work, work, and work!
