Create a Life You Love - Powerful Purpose
Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Pam Drzewiecki, founder and owner of Powerful Purpose, LLC., located in Bristol, CT, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business, Powerful Purpose, has been helping women create a life they love by understanding what they need to thrive! Over the past five years, I have helped thousands of women with the Powerful Purpose Coaching Pillars (Pause, Discover, Desing and Propel), weekly inspirations, a community, speaking, writing, and giving back.
If you are a woman aged 40-70, looking to stop the hamster wheel and jump off to find peace, joy, and happiness in the season you are in right now, join us - be part of our community, the Purpose Den, or check out the coaching pillars.
Tell us about yourself
I am a 55-year-old woman with many chapters in her life, as most of us do. I am a woman of faith, wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, business owner, philanthropist, author, and speaker. These are the "titles" I have but what I identify with is I am a strong woman being empowered by my circumstances to create a life of purpose.
I find myself five years into owning Powerful Purpose after a 28-year career in the insurance industry. I'm married for 11 years to my wonderful, supportive second husband after the first 16-year marriage to a man who struggled to find himself. A mom at age 40. A blended family with kids, houses, and animals at age 42.
This second chapter has brought support, encouragement, and bandwidth to start living my best life. To leave my career and pursue helping other women to experience these feelings personally and/or professionally. Understanding that faith, consistency, determination, and acknowledging my needs breeds joy. I start my day with morning prayer, journaling, taking care of my family, and movement. These are the foundation of my success.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is building this business from scratch - from writing my book to creating a Powerful Purpose Weekly Planner, Powerful Purpose Journal, and the Powerful Purpose Networking Tracker. I have created a system to identify your Roadmap to Thriving© by using Power Words and action steps. And now, for my fifth anniversary, I am holding a Purpose Den Live event! But, I would say I love the most is my giveback - "Fill the Purse with Purpose." Helping and reaching over 900 women so far, making them feel special and not forgotten.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
There are a few.
- Being Consistent. (Must have no matter what is happening)
- Not comparing yourself to others. (Imposter Syndrome)
- Fair of Missing Out - FOMO (Choose what is best for your business)
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Have a budget.
- Create a Plan and calendar your action steps.
- Show up - talk and meet with anyone that will listen to you about what you are doing. (Start with making a list of 90 people)
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
This might sound like a cliche, but life does go fast. You wake up one day, and you are 55 years old! Make today count, but know that your circumstances are part of your journey and draw you closer to your purpose.
