What's your business, and who are your customers?
Portogallo Peppers N'AT is a manufacturer and distributor of Spicy Giardiniera, Hot Giardiniera, Sweet and Spicy Peppers, and Olive Muffuletta for consumers sold thru Grocery Stores and Specialty Stores. We also sell our products online.
Tell us about yourself
What started as a hobby, then selling at local farmers markets, we now sell our products in over 200 stores in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, and New York.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to satisfy our customer's needs. Also being named 2019 Pittsburgh Veteran-Owned Business of the Year Finalist.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Being able to find good help and delegating things that I do to run the business.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Have a passion for what you want to do, make sure you have sufficient funding, and also have a market for your product.
