Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Julian Sado, Founder of Pivot 2 Change, LLC., located in Frisco, TX, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is in identifying immediate opportunities around what I call the Human Operating System (HOS) that impact productivity. This is done by coaching not only the C-suite but employees and staff and intentionally inserting myself within Training, Recruiting, and Leadership (Virtual & On-site).

I take an interest in the personal psychology of the staff to leverage ideas and get the most out of them for your business and help individuals find joy on the path of their journey.

Typically, only top performers and high achievers receive such mental training. I know this because I have trained some of them. I do this by utilizing neuroscience, NLP, and behavioral science and infusing the training into the staff's motivators.

I then teach the power of micro-messaging, how to become instinctive to leverage moments vs. data to lead staff. I also provide ongoing coaching and a live on-call feedback development program within your company.

Tell us about yourself

After leaving the entertainment world as a talent agent to become an international celebrity kickboxing trainer, I got married, moved into life insurance sales, and lost my identity and friends. Depressed and suicidal, I was fortunate enough to meet Jim Rohn. He directed me to mind science, NLP, and neuroscience.

I then dove into Greek philosophy from the 6th century BC. Ancient Egypt and Ancient India's Sanskrit and philosophy. This led him to world religions and Mesopotamian knowledge, and what has not been my signature coaching program called D.E.M.O.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I could say... It was getting Jennifer Lopez to sign on to "In Living Color," but my most significant accomplishment as a business owner of Pivot 2 Change, LLC is that I have consulted with over forty companies and ten industries and personally coached several well-known influencers that are impacting the world today. I also created several leadership training programs that are Top of Shelf training for several Fortune 100 companies.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The hardest thing for anyone is self-doubt. When you start a business, friends, and family find it their responsibility to share the danger of such a thing. Unchecked, you can easily desire an easier route.

The amazing Toni Morrison (1931-2019) quote - "Nothing of value is ever easy," is one of the most honest statements. Any people I coach admit to hating their jobs and only wanting to work for themselves. However, please don't consider that business owner works for everyone but themselves.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Don't fall into the 3-min segment training programs. This county is the youngest country on the planet and the most accessible and successful by far, and it was built on the skills of trade and knowledge. You don't get knowledge by listening to sound bits. Dig in deep and infuse yourself with skill.
  2. Second, instead of adding new things to your plate when starting a business, first, decide what you will cut out. Is it TV, Saturday drinking nights with friends, or sleeping in? To change, you have to change your habits. The momentum from the change will eventually motivate you to do more, but it is not easy.
  3. Lastly - pay attention to what you are listening to, who you hang around with, and admire. Those are the ones you will emulate. Find an inner circle of people who think higher than you now so you can be where they are soon.
