What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is massage therapy, and I work with people who suffer from migraines and/or headaches as well as temporomandibular joint dysfunction.
Tell us about yourself
My motivation was that when I started to receive massages especially cranial sacral and myofascial release, for my own migraines, I was amazed how it decreased the frequency of my episodes. I never realized that my neck and shoulders had some contribution to my triggers for migraines and daily headaches. My motivation is to help and reach as many people as I can to feel the same relief I have felt. Also, educating my clients on self-care. The benefits massage actually has as an impact on health and wellness.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Having flexibility in my day-to-day life. Work and personal balance. And that I can be part of people's healing journey in getting them out of pain for a longer duration.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing for me as a business owner is being recognized as a professional with my skill set. And also marketing.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Definitely do the research, be patient and never give up. It can get hard, but it’s all worth it.

If you have a skill set and can make your own business, just do it.
