What's your business, and who are your customers?
Pedal Power Entertainment is a smoothie bar that blends smoothies on a state-of-the-art bike blender. Our bike blenders provide amazing entertainment for all kinds of events such as birthday parties, grand openings, picnics, corporate wellness, graduations, etc. Basically, our bike blenders provide a fun activity for any event looking to have a good time. Our customers are event planners, party planners, HR departments, or anyone seeking to have a good time at their event!
Tell us about yourself
I initially started my business as a way to promote health and wellness. Blending a healthy smoothie on a bike blender sounded like a great way to promote wellness. And boy did it ever. My business exploded with corporate events in Silicon Valley and all throughout the Bay Area. I am motivated by the pure joy and laughter our service provides. We are usually the first time people have ever seen or ridden on a bike blender before. So we capture special moments!
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is starting this business from an idea to building a desirable service that people actually look forward to being a part of.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing I would say is not knowing when your next booking is going to be. Our business is seasonal, so during the winter months, it’s very slow. I’ve had to get creative during those times to keep the business going.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
You must have patience, believe in your idea, and drive. These three things were mandatory for me to make Pedal Power Entertainment a success.
