What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a wholesale manufacturer that sells frozen pizza products throughout the US.

Tell us about yourself

I have been a thrill seeker most of my life and have always loved a challenge. I enjoy the hospitality industry because it is constantly changing. I wanted to be able to create jobs and make a difference in this world. I started with gourmet take-and-bake pizza restaurants, eventually going into the manufacturing side of the business.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Being able to inspire our employees, some of who have been with our company for over 20 years. We have been in business since 1988, which is a huge accomplishment in itself!

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

In business, you have to be willing to pivot. Life is filled with challenges. The most successful people are also the most able to change their mindset and listen to other people. We all make mistakes throughout our life and business. The lesson is to learn from them and not be afraid to try.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  • First of all, make sure you’re passionate about what you’re doing!
  • Secondly, put your whole self into what you’re doing. If you’re not completely behind your idea, nobody else will be either.
  • Thirdly, don’t be afraid of failure. This is how we all learn and get better at what we do. Think of Thomas Edison and how he found 1000 ways a lightbulb didn’t work.
