What's your business, and who are your customers?
StarPointe provides life management coaching for adults (18 years+) that are struggling to 'launch' into life through the use of causal coaching methodologies, along with accountability.
Tell us about yourself
For most of my adult life, I found myself helping others find their 'roadblocks' and resistance to moving forward in various aspects of their lives with positive outcomes. Many of my past careers provided me with the opportunity to work with young adults that were 'stuck' and struggling to find direction and meaning in their lives, along with how to experience emotion without reacting in a negative manner. My motivation and passion for this work come from the many life-changing decisions and actions that my clients make from the mentoring work we do together.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The biggest accomplishment as a business owner is cultivating an idea or inspiration into a reality. Having a service that is truly changing lives and providing those that work alongside me with an income and opportunity for growth as well.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Owning a business means that you have to be willing to sacrifice and work hard at the start for long-term success and goals. You have to be willing to evolve and face fears that come up so that you don't derail your dreams and goals.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
The three top tips I would offer up to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today would be to set up systems from the start (it's much more difficult to do it afterward), develop and exercise discipline (you have to depend upon yourself to hold yourself accountable in showing up and doing the work, even when you don't want to), be ready and willing to fail many times on the way to success without giving up on your dream/goals.
