What's your business, and who are your customers?

Italian live Pasta bar, and we cater to a variety of customers that include young students, office professionals, couples, and seniors.

Tell us about yourself

Since childhood, I have had a dream of operating my own business and working for myself. I followed my passion and studied hospitality management. Once I graduated, I worked in hotels and restaurants to gain experience. Once I had a belief that I could run the show, I decided to take a big leap of faith. I continuously work every day to improve myself and make a better version of myself. I look for ways in which I can contribute to society.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Happy customers are my biggest accomplishment. We have customers who have been loyal to us since day 1 of the operations. My team and I have created an environment where customers come and enjoy our food, service, and ambiance.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Being associated with the business 24/7. You never have a day off, at least for the initial years, and then slowly you start to form a balance between work and leisure.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Always believe that you can do it.
  2. Have a solid game plan. The more research and data you have, you will be well prepared to face uncertainties.
  3. Never give up. Sometimes things don't work in the first trial, but it doesn't mean it is a failed product. You keep trying and keep working hard; things eventually start falling in place for you.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

The world needs many more entrepreneurs like us, who contribute to society at the very local level, and who make a difference in their very own neighborhood. After all, that's where change starts.
