What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is Passion Moon Potions. I make natural, indulgent skin care products and candles. My customers are mainly women. But I also have a following for my men as well.
Tell us about yourself
I started my business from the love of pastry. I so enjoyed the creativity and loved making things that made people feel happy and were delicious to eat. The fast-paced/early hours of being a pastry chef made me pivot into starting my own business. Skincare has always been something I loved...it started with delicious-tasting lip balms and then evolved into skin creams...which I call skin dessert. The motivation to keep going is the freedom over my schedule and to be so creative. I have new ideas daily. It's so much fun! :)
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment has been to keep going even when it seems hard. To really love every moment of it. Also, the expansion of my business. I take moments to think about how far I have come...it's been a journey. Very grateful for that!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
For me, it was putting myself out there...and believing in myself. Especially in the beginning. I think now..it's keeping the work-life balance. Working enough...but not too much that you get burned out. :)
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Make sure it's something you love! Have fun!
- Keep going..even when it seems hard. Don't give up so easily.
- Go the extra mile with customer service.
