What's your business, and who are your customers?

Family-owned & operated in Kamloops for almost 15 years. German-inspired menu with schnitzels & spaëtzle as well as everything made fresh in-house from the smoked meats, hand cut fries, homemade burgers, fresh baked breads & desserts as well as some people say the Best Eggs Bennies in Kamloops with 7 to choose from daily.

Tell us about yourself

Working as a cook & Chef for 30 years and also just learned the love of cooking & baking from my mom. Many childhood visits to the Bakery in Germany run by my uncle & cousins started a love for all things homemade & baked fresh. I strive to re-create some of these dishes & try to expand even further.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Moving into our newest location & adding the Bakery last year.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Trying to stay competitive & fresh without disappointing customers when updating menus. Also, COVID mandates.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Love, love, love what you do because it’s almost life-consuming at some points & it is soooo much easier when you have a passion for your work. Surround yourself with people who share your vision. Always have a few backup plans in place because “you never know….”
