What's your business, and who are your customers?
Paradiso Pilates is a small boutique Pilates Studio that is very specialized in what your body needs. With very individualized attention in each class, it makes it easier to correct form and gain benefits. All of our clients are local.
Tell us about yourself
I started practicing Pilates myself ever since I was 10 years old. I was a competitive dancer my whole life and saw a huge change of control, ab strength, mobility in my body, and so much more when I practiced Pilates. Even at such a young age, I grew to love Pilates and knew I'd do it my whole life. With that said, I love knowing I can help people change their bodies to be less likely to injure themselves by gaining stronger and more mobile bodies. I look forward to each day that I get to help my clients to become better versions of themselves.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I love that I have grown this business from only 1 reformer to now 5 reformers, plus lots of other equipment. I feel honored each and every time one of my clients come up to me to say they love the studio and the space and community I created.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
I would say that no matter how hard you try to be prepared for what's coming next, you won't know the answer every time. Having your own business takes time, and it can feel like a rollercoaster.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Stay strong, don't give up, and continue to be yourself! There will be many tweaks to a business, but all your hard work will pay off—both in money and time spent with family, vacations, etc.
