What's your business, and who are your customers?
I provide beauty services, specializing in volume and mega volume lashes. I serve hardworking women who desire and prioritize a luxury self-care lifestyle.
Tell us about yourself
When COVID started, I figured it would be the perfect time for me to learn and grow my business. I knew I wanted something more for myself and my future, so I told my fiance that I was going to focus on my business full time. So I did, and it wasn't easy because I lack a lot of things, like knowledge in business and marketing. Today, my business is growing, and I'm super grateful. Every day, working with my lash girls doesn't even feel like a job. I make them happy, and they make me happy. I love the relationship that I get to build with all of my clients. There's trust and respect, and I love that. Helping them feel confident and beautiful makes me feel really good about what I do. I have come this far in my career, and there's no room to give up on myself.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Having a business to run.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing for me, being a business owner, is marketing. I was very slow at understanding it because there's so much to learn. I did a lot of Facebook and Instagram ads. I'm now learning how to use google ads. Today, I believe my intuition in marketing has definitely improved.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
My top 3 tips would have to be, saving up enough money before running your business, studying marketing, and building an amazing foundation with your clients.
