Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in e-commerce but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Max Pauwels, Founder of Paleo, located in Los Angeles, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

Paleo allows merchants to manage their whole commerce business in one place. You can work with partner merchants, whether they are on Paleo or not, keep track of partnership trade data, communicate with partners, and share product data.

Tell us about yourself

I ran the TDW company for two years, a company in consumer goods with over 80K products, six brands, and 600 retail partners. I started creating the Paleo product to be able to run commerce in a single place, rather than having to use multiple tools, keep sharing data files and save time on common trade tasks.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I recently sold TDW.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Nobody will guide you.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

The first tip would be to just go for it. The second tip really depends on the kind of person you are. If you are like me, then the advice I can give based on what I've learned is to calculate more risk and know when to slow down.
