Find Relief and Heal Efficiently - Pacific Winds Wellness

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Lauren Brandstadter, Founder of Pacific Winds Wellness, located in Mamaroneck, NY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is hands-on, comprehensive healing sessions that address the five bodies: Emotional, Physical, Energetic, Spiritual, and Mental.

Tell us about yourself

My goal is for people to understand their bodies by taking responsibility for their temple to be pain-free. I incorporate over 18 different techniques to achieve the desired results. I became interested in the healing arts when I was a publicist for Shape and Men's Fitness Magazines over 30+ years ago. I also wanted to have a business where I was my own boss so as to give me time to parent a child when the time came.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment is that my reputation precedes me, and I have been established in private practice for 30+ years.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The slow times with work are the most difficult. These are the times I rest and work on myself.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Know your client and market.
  2. Know what steps to take to protect yourself.
  3. Do not devalue yourself when a client tries to negotiate your fee.
