What's your business, and who are your customers?

Orlando Mom is a hyper-local digital media platform that provides resources and content to Central Florida moms through our blog, website, social media channels, newsletters, and in-person events. We essentially are a "media outlet" and have been compared to radio, tv, billboard, etc. At Orlando Mom, we foster community amongst local moms while working with local small (and large national) businesses on advertising and marketing campaigns. Our audience (of 1 million+ moms a year) is very important to us, and that is why we do what we do!

Tell us about yourself

I love marketing and advertising and coming up with creative solutions for businesses. I am motivated by the fact that we HELP local moms on a daily basis- whether it is through a resource of ours, a social media laugh, or by bringing them together at an event.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is reaching over 1.8 million moms in 2022 with our content. We have a very small team which is a huge feat for us.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Everything about owning a business is hard, and the hardest part is that we can't please everyone.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  2. Be consistent.
  3. Give yourself some grace.
