What's your business, and who are your customers?

As a golf performance coach, I help ordinary men become extraordinary golfers. My customers are males who are addicted to golf and are usually required to work in an office setting.

Tell us about yourself

I first got started in fitness about 22 years ago. I became a golf fitness specialist in 2010. As I age, I understand the desires and the physical limitations of my typical client more and more. I want them to have the strategies, tools, and coaching they need to reach their highest potential.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

As an independent trainer, my goal was to become the number one golf fitness coach in NYC. This was achieved until the pandemic took most of it away.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things about being a business owner is learning to wear all the hats necessary to run a business so you can become successful enough to wear one.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Know your why- why are you passionate about what you are doing.
  2. Understand your prospects' pain points better than they do.
  3. Get a coach.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Running your own business is hard! But at least in my industry (fitness), it's easier than ever. Not only are there business coaches, but there are fitness business coaches and niche fitness business coaches. Pick a niche and become the best you can become in that niche.
