Activate Your Self-Expression & Authenticity - Nikolina Adzic

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Nikolina Adzic, a somatic guide, energy healer, writer, and creative counsel, based in Wausau, WI, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is about liberation. I help people dance with the mystery of life and feel ecstatically alive, self-expressed, and deeply connected. As a writer, I help people bring their essence and the depths of their soul and craft to life by pouring it out on paper. As a creative counsel, I help people harness and bring to life their most exquisite creations!

Tell us about yourself

What motivates me each day is freedom, creativity, and healing. I started my business having known internal confinement. My own journey of unleashing my self-expression, connecting to my body, and claiming the title of a writer has taken me down a path of deep shadow work. In the dark cave of my own psyche, I realized the commonality between us all, as well as the crippling side effect of self-doubt and contraction that keeps us robbed of liberation. And therefore, my continuous motivation continues to be freedom. Freedom from our own cages, as well as that of our surroundings.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I would say my biggest accomplishment as a business owner is my clients’ milestones, vulnerability, and breakthroughs. Hearing things such as, “I got off anxiety medication,” and “I’ve never felt this alive…” is the most rewarding part of doing all of this.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

As a creative, the hardest thing for me is consistency! Navigating the polarity of flowing with my own rhythm but also running a business is something I continue to refine and sharpen.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Don’t get stuck in the loop of overconsumption. There are a lot of great resources out there, but it’s easy to get in the habit of chasing the next best thing keeping you from actually creating anything yourself.
  2. You don’t have to be good at everything, be good at one thing!!!
  3. Everyone, and I mean everyone, feels self-doubt, imposter syndrome, and the like. You’re not alone, and it’s not a sign to stop.
  4. Have fun! If you can, have a side income to support you while you bring to life your greatest creation without the burden of having it to make money from the get-go.
