What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are I Do Glam, and we are a mobile beauty team that caters to Brides and Special Events. We have beauty teams in New Jersey, New York, and South Florida. We also service destination weddings.
Tell us about yourself
Rosa Lomeli and I started as friends and co-workers but soon decided to join forces and create a beauty team. We both bring unique skills to the table and work together to cater to brides and their bridal parties. Every day is incredibly motivating for us because, just as our slogan says, we strive to not only make the bride look beautiful but feel beautiful too.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Our biggest accomplishment as business owners would have several locations nationally to accommodate many cities and locations. We built a brand for I Do Glam, not only offering hair and makeup but selling retail products, mentoring, and franchising.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing would be scheduled in the way that we get very booked up, and sometimes people wait last minute to book. That's why we have a highly skilled and trained by our staff to accommodate all of our beauties.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
We do a lot of mentorship and consulting, so we always have our pro tips for anyone looking to start and grow their business. The main keys are to network with everyone that you can, stay motivated because some days get tough, and always stay up to date with trainings and how you can better yourself in your business.
