What's your business, and who are your customers?
New Age Attire is a streetwear and lifestyle brand straight out of Pgh. New Age is the new wave! Providing streetwear and lifestyle attire with a focus on your needs. Through our social media, we offer surveys and polls and give our customers the opportunity to even pick our designs for upcoming releases. We aim to be transparent with our audience and provide them with exceptional quality and service.
Tell us about yourself
Our first release ever was two t-shirts and a pair of socks. The socks were hand sewn, & all the t-shirt designs were made in-house. Right after this release, we did a pre-order for women's high-cut bodysuits, and it was over after that! My biggest motivation on a day-to-day basis is thinking about my future family and setting things up right for them to run this business as well.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is building a community around my brand/business. We have core supporters that have been shopping with us since day 1.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing is to always be in the creative direction and keeping up with the trends to stay fresh and new.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Just get up and do it! What's stopping you? The only thing stopping you from launching your brand/business is overthinking. Let it flow naturally. Sit down and create!
- Post the content. I know we tend to overthink content and the interaction we receive, but if we're not posting and promoting, then who will?
- If your finances are stopping you from launching, then try to order samples, do a photoshoot, Market it & drop a pre-order. Don't be afraid to hit up influencers to help promote!
