What's your business, and who are your customers?
NC1 Agency is a high-level digital consulting and SEO company. We offer strategies for emerging markets for businesses and entertainment.
Tell us about yourself
I got my start working in the music industry in 2011 by launching a music blog that garnered over 300 interviews in NYC. Next, I created an artist development company and co-wrote a book featuring those interviews from my blog. After, I started hosting events and music showcases. A few years later, I moved to Nashville and launched a second company that matched service providers in the music industry with artists. Recently, I launched a third company, NC1 Agency, with my business partner Nick Caster. NC1 Agency is a high-level digital consulting and SEO company. I love being able to help businesses.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
It is between co-writing a book, creating a musical, launching a course, or creating a TV show.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner is staying power. Those who are super successful have staying power. They stay when things are difficult, and they know in their heart it will get better. They do not give up after the first problem that arises. To be successful, people can't give up. They must keep going.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Get really clear on what you want. This will make all the difference in the world.
- Surround yourself with people who are doing what you want to be doing. Join masterminds, find mentors and hire coaches. Who you surround yourself with is one of the biggest keys to success.
- Always look for opportunities to help others.
