Release, Relax, Heal - Natasha M-Lissoos

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Natasha M-Lissoos, a kinesiologist, and acupuncturist based in Sarnia, ON, Canada.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I have a Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture clinic, and I treat multiple age groups of patients.

Tell us about yourself

I was injured playing tennis in my 20s and was healed with Chinese Medicine Acupuncture. I am motivated to help others resolve all their pain, be it musculoskeletal or internal medicine, such as stomach pain, insomnia, hot flashes, and anxiety, to name a few.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I always feel my biggest accomplishment is when I can help someone regain their quality of life.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

It is sometimes not knowing what the future holds. Obviously, as a business owner, you try to plan for rainy days, as well; you are the business, so without you, there is no business.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Make sure you are signed up to do hard work and invest some long hours, although it is usually something you love to do, service - so you will not view it as "work."
  2. Keep plugging away at your business vision; keep seeing yourself succeed, and you will.
  3. Never worry about competition, as there always will be competition.
