Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Dr. Natalie Morse, Owner of for the love of grad, located in Greenville, SC, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I help high achievers get into fully funded PhD programs so they can become leaders in their fields.
Tell us about yourself
I got my fully funded PhD from Cornell University, and it changed my life. I want more people from underrepresented groups to have leadership positions so they can change the world for the better.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment is starting this with no sales or marketing expertise and successfully building a sales pipeline.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Making daily trade-offs from ideas, what you want to do, and where to spend your time and money.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Try things out, and it's OK if they don't work on the first try.
- Don't pivot too much every time you have a setback; try and work through it.
- Get help where you need it; you're not saving money. You're wasting money by not moving further ahead faster.
