I'm a musician and mental health professional.
Tell us about yourself
Learning about myself after a diagnosis of depression and attempts at suicide gave me a bird's-eye view of why I believe in talking about and advocating mental health awareness. Music is a part of the healing for me. When I work with clients, I utilize the creative arts as a catalyst for healing and change.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Having a business is a lot of work. Being a guest in a major news outlet several times has been some of my biggest accomplishments, but hearing my former clients being successful is huge for me!
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Working a 9-5 and building a business is very challenging and will impact my overall health.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Decide and know your 'why.'
- Be mindful of your overall health.
- Make sure you do your research for the best return on investment.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
Having a business is hard, and sometimes the results are not immediate, but with perseverance and patience, you can create a business that will give you the independence that surpasses anything in the world.
