What's your business, and who are your customers?
We're a podcast and content creation studio in Dallas, TX. We provide podcast and content creation services to both businesses and individuals across the world. We handle both the recording and post-production services.
Tell us about yourself
I have always loved audio production. I have a radio background and started a studio where I could work on my own projects. I wasn't in the studio every day, so I figured others might want to use it for their projects from time to time. We built a website, and the rest is history. Fast forward to today, and we're one of the largest podcast and content creation companies in Dallas. I love the creative projects we get to work on each day. I never set out to make this a business because this was always my passion first. So I guess the moral of the story is to follow your passions, do what you love, and the money will follow. I stay motivated because I get to wake up every day and do what I love. That is the meaning of success for me.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Recently, I would say it's survived the pandemic. We had to shut down our studio for a few weeks and come up with solutions to service our customers and stay afloat. We're still here, and the challenges only made us stronger.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Innovation is fun and exciting, but I think that would be the hardest thing. Trying to anticipate what is coming next so you can implement new services so that your customers have everything they need to create and be successful.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Build your business around your passion - I think that's the most important tip.
- Customer service is key - Customer service is not what it used to be. So focus on it. Start doing a little bit more for your customers, and you will stand out from the competition.
- Innovate - Don't go stale! We try to add new services and features to our studio every year. We're also always looking at new software and systems that we can put in place to help make our customer's experiences the best they can be.
