What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am the founder and owner of Chrono Biology Nutrition and Wellness Consulting. It is a full-service company that provides complete consulting services for nutrition, healthy eating planning, wellness, and weight management. My approach is based on the science of chronobiology and Chrono nutrition, glycemic index, acid-base regime, and circadian rhythm combined with eating natural, fresh, local foods to create the best possible tactics for healthy living and well-being. That is why the motto of my company is: Your Health. The natural way.

Since my business is online, I have a global customers/target audience. My customer base is very broad-from preschool children to seniors. However, my ideal clients are families with children where parents want to eat healthily and be role models for the kids and parents (mostly moms) who want their children to learn and adopt healthy eating and living habits in order to prevent potential future health risks and preserve their health.
Consumers of my services are:

• Individuals, couples, and families seeking to identify health risks and exploring strategies to improve their health and quality of life and maintain wellness. Generally, those are individuals/families that are looking to make a dietary change in life in order to improve overall health, manage chronic health condition(s), and regulate weight.
• Individuals with more than one medical condition.
• People with chronic health conditions or chronic pain.
• The growing population of overweight and obese individuals.
• The concerned health-aware individuals – healthy individuals who aim to enhance their health for the long term.
• Young to middle-aged individuals who are looking to achieve a more holistic treatment and take an active part in it, with a desire to use natural treatment with minimal adverse effects to remain in good health and improve quality of life.
• People who seek health care to be more equipped to self-manage their own well-being.
• Individuals generally dissatisfied with current health and well-being, looking to improve their health status.

I work 1:1 with clients but also with groups-I that have designed a cleanse program that kicks off at the end of April. I also have a weight loss program that is safe, sustainable, and efficient, with long-lasting results. Recently, I started an employee wellness program about personal and family nutrition, meal planning and preparation, and stress and anxiety management.

Tell us about yourself

My interest in chronobiology started when I was an undergrad biology student. As a biologist, I have always looked for a natural solution to any health/wellness problem, be it an acute or chronic issue. I got into the nutrition and wellness field as a Molecular Biology Ph.D. student when my health, due to stress, pressure, and lack of time to look after myself, drastically deteriorated. My immune system weakened, and I was in constant stomach pain due to Helicobacter pylori infection and duodenal ulcer. On top of everything, I got candidiasis. Even though I did everything doctors and nutritionists prescribed, I found no relief or improvement. After almost a year of frustration, burned out, brain fog, and exhaustion, I took my life and health into my own hands since the one-size-fits-all diet and prescriptions had no positive effect on me.

I started researching my ailments, found an all-natural cure for Helicobacter, and finally got rid of it and the ulcer. I also found a Candida-specific diet and started following it. I got better, but I didn't get rid of the Candida. Obviously, I was on the right track, but a piece of the health and nutrition puzzle was still missing. So, I started teaching myself nutrition science, researching different diets, approaches, and trends. And then I discovered Chrono nutrition.

After trying several trendy diets, I realized that Chrono nutrition is the only diet that is natural and in sync with my natural metabolic, physiologic, sleep-wake, and all other biological rhythms. I was awaking feeling alert and refreshed, whereas before, I was feeling sluggish in the morning, with no energy during the day. Plus, I lost weight, even though it was not my original plan, all without counting calories or restricting myself in how much I would eat. I can honestly say that living according to principles of Chrono nutrition was my health line at the time. The results I experienced after the first months of following Chrono nutrition had many friends asking me for advice on health because they saw the life-changing transformation in me. They convinced me that I must teach it to people who needed help they couldn't get elsewhere. So I got into the field of chronobiology nutrition.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I have successfully transitioned from academic-only roles to business-focused roles resulting in more personal fulfillment and satisfaction, greater exposure, and confidence to take on different roles while still doing the thing I love the best-teaching! I just love working with people and motivating them to learn about and take control of their health and wellness the natural way.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Being a business owner is a great feeling, but it comes with some tough situations. For me, doing everything, including the things I don't like to do, is the hardest part of the deal -I am very tech-savvy but don't like social media posting.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be honest to yourself and your customers-never, stop learning and improving yourself.
  2. Build meaningful business relationships, don't be afraid of networking.
  3. Give yourself some love and care-you are only one person for the business that can employ many more.

My unique approach empowers individuals to take charge of their health and wellness by gaining knowledge, confidence, and skills to include simple nutrition and wellness strategies into everyday living. By using correct food timing and combination, together with appropriate physical exercises, individuals can transform their health and wellness in the most natural, safe, and sustainable way, lead a healthy lifestyle and achieve a specific health-related goal.
