What's your business, and who are your customers?
My Chic Obsession is an online fashion resource for the classic woman looking to get the most out of her daily fashion. With our helpful style tips, women learn how to attain a timeless look, elevate their style, and make the most out of their wardrobe.
Tell us about yourself
My background as a model, photographer, and stylist fostered my passion for creativity and fashion. I was looking for a way to combine all of these, which led me to create my platform where I could help women in a practical, daily routine.
Sharing my knowledge and love of fashion in a feasible and easy-to-understand way with women who need it motivates me to do what I do each practice.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
It's always been my goal to step away from the traditional model of fashion websites and, instead, offer women in-depth style tips and fashion guides. Starting a website from scratch by myself and growing it to over a million views per month centered around just that has been a significant accomplishment.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
As a small business owner, it sometimes feels like the business is you, and you are your business. You can't clock out for the day and pick it back up tomorrow. The brain never clocks off. Though there are many perks to being a business owner, one of the hardest things is being responsible for everything and feeling as if you can't take natural mental breaks.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
