Mindset and Peak Performance - Morning Fire Coaching
Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Jeff Wickersham, Founder of Morning Fire Coaching, located in Royersford, PA, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I guide clients to intentionally step into the best version of themselves personally and professionally through the power of habits, identity creation, and energy! Clients play all out with courage, confidence, and grit each and every day. They let go of the negative self-talk, say goodbye to social norms, and unlock their true potential. My customers are executives and business owners who want to unlock that next level of their success, either professionally or personally.
Tell us about yourself
My why happened 7.5 years ago when I was cut at the knees and punched in the gut as I watched my mom take her last breath in her fight with cancer. From that moment on, I've dedicated my life to being the best version that I could be but also helping others to do the same. I'm a former gym owner, personal trainer, and certified nutritional coach who prides himself on his consistency and authenticity. I practice what I teach and live by example. Three of my proudest accomplishments are 1,617 straight days of meditation, running the Goggins 4x4x48 run twice, and either a cold shower or ice bath for 1,317 straight days. I'm motivated each day to make a dent in the universe because each day we get is truly a gift that we'll never get back again.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My first gym business eventually failed, but I kept going and got off the mat to create again with some powerful lessons learned from that experience.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The feeling that you're all alone. So many times, we isolate ourselves; I did that when I started out.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Learn the business before you start the business. This means working for a company already in a space where you can gain knowledge quickly.
- Look at your cash flow and books daily/weekly to know your numbers. Allocate every dollar coming into take-home pay, taxes, expenses, and emergency fund. Use Parkinson's law in your favor.
- Get a mentor, coach, or someone to hold you accountable to make progress, and they can also help you uncover blind spots.
Is there anything else you'd like to share?
I believe everyone single one of us has greatness inside!
