What's your business, and who are your customers?

I provide Acupuncture, Massage Therapy, and Personal Training services to the general population of Westchester, NY.

Tell us about yourself

I've always enjoyed unstructured physical activity, from hiking in the woods as a child and recreating in parks with my buddies. I excelled in sports and expanded my skill sets to serve athletes in performance enhancement through exercise and nutrition. I later continued my education to help athletes rehab and prevent injury. I am fortunate to love my work and share my obsession with the movement and rehab sciences.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My practice has grown organically from word of mouth over a 5 year period. I am a solo practitioner, and I feel that my professional durability has been the most remarkable.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

Managing the office emails, marketing tools, scheduling…etc. (boring but necessary).

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care. Be interested in the people you get to serve. Never stop learning and expanding your skillsets. Some investments in yourself seem daunting, but it's usually well worth it. Prevent burnout by working smarter and not harder. The amount of resources and people who are willing to help is abundant, so accept it when it's presented to you.
