Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Molly Mariss, CEO of Molly Mariss, LLC, located in Ixonia, WI, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
We are a boutique Operations Management Agency that helps Mom CEOs build and operate their business efficiently through systems, streamlining, and SOPs so they can scale with ease.
Tell us about yourself
I am a girl mom of two living in southeastern Wisconsin. I have a background in Healthcare Administration and a Master’s in Business. I traded corporate life for entrepreneurship in 2019 to have more flexibility and found a love for the online world supporting mom CEOs. I have a passion for operating efficiently through systems, streamlining, and automation. SOPs are basically my second language! It’s my goal to help women sustain and grow their business to live life under their terms.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner was leading and managing the implementation of a new fulfillment center for a wellness brand that sold both direct to consumers and wholesale. The change from the old fulfillment center to the new one went seamlessly, and the result of the change has the business thousands of dollars each year, which made a significant impact on its bottom line.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of greatest challenges as a business owner is mindset. You will run into imposter syndrome, limiting beliefs, and several other mindset challenges that can hinder your growth.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
The three tips I'd give anyone looking to start, run and grow a business would be to stay determined and keep going, remain consistent in showing up, and most importantly, connect with others for accountability. To not only keep the momentum going but also to conquer mindset and other challenges that come up in your business.
