What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am a Reiki Master, Intuitive Healer, and Meditation Teacher. People of all ages, sex, and background come to me. I help people remember who they are and why they came to this world. My intuition validates them and helps them become more self-aware. Through Reiki/Intuitive Healing sessions, Channeling, Tarot, Courses, Meditation, and more - I support others to transform their lives and go in the direction of their dreams.
When I work with you, I can read your energy and see how you are feeling, what you may be holding back, what is blocking you, etc. So many of us push parts of ourselves away as we grow. We work through why you may have pushed these gifts away to get your light back out. This is why my tagline is Shine Free. I want you to always shine your true self and feel unconfined and unbound!
When I work with you, I am also working with Spirit. I may receive messages from deceased loved ones, angels, guides, etc. You will feel comforted knowing the other side does want you to live a life of joy and fulfillment.
Tell us about yourself
I had a mystical experience about 15 years ago. I received energy work for the first time and was opened up to the fact that we are all one. I physically felt like I was connected to all things. It was as if arms were coming out of my abdomen, and I was morphing into everything around me.
This began me on a journey, to say the least. In 2016 I went through a divorce, and Reiki/Energy Healing helped me so much through the process that I became a Reiki Master in 2017. This opened my intuition even more, and I knew I wanted to help others the way I was helped.
What motivates me every day is being in service. The people I've met and the stories I've heard have been incredibly moving. To witness transformation in people is truly amazing. Whether it's heartache, divorce, drug/alcohol abuse, physical/emotional/verbal abuse, death of loved ones, adoption, suicide, etc. - to see people come out on the other side of their trauma is awe-inspiring. And to see clients open up to the lessons, they have learned from their story and allow themselves to see it as part of their spiritual and personal growth is remarkable.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner is the ability to do what I love. I have struggled to make ends meet, but I am continuing to build my business and soon expanding into The Shine Free Healing Center!
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
For me, the hardest thing about being a business owner has been doing and being it all. I am the Healer, but I am also in marketing, finance, tech, and operations! I also have three children, two dogs, and a house to run. But I wouldn't change a thing. The notes, emails, and texts I receive from clients give me the confidence to keep going. But I will be happy one day when I can let go of some of the administrative duties!
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Three top tips I would give to anyone starting a business are number one, don't tell people your business idea; show them. You will always get the naysayers if you try to explain what you want to do. Don't wait for validation; just do it and don't look back.
Second, be consistent. It most likely isn't going to be a success overnight. Stay consistent and focused on your goals.
Third, remember to step back and remind yourself why you are doing what you are doing. Feel that passion, desire, and gratitude on a regular basis.
