Mod Esthetics is an intimate beauty haven located in Charlotte, NC. We specialize in facials, eyelash extensions, nails, waxing, teeth whitening, and more. Each of our services is carefully designed to tailor to each client's unique needs. Our mission is to provide each client with superb service, a low-maintenance beauty regimen, and a new definition of confidence.
Tell us about yourself
My name is Shanice; I am the founder of Mod Esthetics. A multi-certified licensed Esthetician and licensed Manicurist. I am a graduate of the Aveda Institute Charlotte, where she earned her degree in Esthiology. A multi-faceted industry professional with a primary focus on skincare and eyelash extensions. What motivates me daily is seeing a smile on my clients' faces after their service is complete. I love being a part of their beauty regiment and helping them enhance their natural beauty.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner has been being able to mentor other new beauty professionals. I love sharing my knowledge with others, helping them avoid some of the mistakes I made when I was a new business owner.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about being a business owner is that you have to be well-versed in all areas of your business. You have to understand accounting, marketing, website development, and the list goes on and on. You have to be able to wear many different hats.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Know your target market, have policies in place and don't be afraid to get a mentor.
