What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are an interior design firm that creates & revives residential and commercial spaces. Every so often, a living space requires a fresh breath of life and change. That's when we come in. Our customers seek us outcomes from all different backgrounds and have different budgets and styles. Most clients want the same thing, a change and a difference in their living space, a space that reflects and suits their lifestyle.

Tell us about yourself

I was always drawn to creative design in different shapes or forms during my life, whether it be staring at the architectural details of a building or even at the artwork in a museum. I just kept putting it off and attempting to look for other interests. I ended up working a summer job for a renovation company. Once I was exposed to the art of planning a room, house, and even building. I was forever hooked and never looked back. I decided to resign and pursue my passion for design. I love knowing that what I create will be translated from my mind into an actual physical space. Since every project varies, it always keeps my mind in the continual process of having to create. Being in the industry of design always motivates me to stay inspired in order to improve my creativity in design.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

As a business owner, I've come to the point that what I considered big last week is outdone this week by a bigger accomplishment. I've learned not to just sit back on just one big accomplishment but learned to keep building and have an array of accomplishments.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Being a business owner, I've learned many wonderful things about myself. The hardest thing about being a business owner is learning never to get comfortable and familiar with what you do. When you begin to get comfortable or familiar, that's when you can become outdated and irrelevant.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Have a solid vision and a plan for your company.
  2. Don't expect things to be handed to you, and don't be lazy. Put your hands to work.
  3. Dominion requires diligence.
