A Fulfilled Life Coaching - Mikkel Leslie

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Mikkel Leslie, Founder of A Fulfilled Life Coaching, located in Dana Point, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a life and human design coach. I bring balance and confidence to my client's lives and businesses. My clients are burnt-out female entrepreneurs who are juggling their life, business, and family life.

Tell us about yourself

My background is in engineering in sales. After a period of being so burnt out and all I wanted to happen was to get laid off, I took some time off and backpacked in California for 6 months. I found that what I truly wanted to do was help people on a deep level.

I moved out to Utah and worked at a wilderness therapy program, backpacking with kids and working on their therapy outdoors. There I learned all about how much of an impact our thoughts, beliefs, and emotions have on our lives. I had to take this back to all the people I knew and teach them how to live a life they love.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Helping over 100 people one-on-one bring more confidence and ease to their lives.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The doubt and fear that it won't work. As a business owner, you have all these hopes and dreams, but the doubt and fear quickly come in. It has been a fun journey to find what works for my clients and me to help us all move through that doubt and fear with ease.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Work to understand how you work the best. We all work differently, and knowing how you work will set you apart from others and make growing so much more fun and enjoyable.
  2. Create a support system that works for you. This could include talking things out with your partner, having a coach, and having a business bestie. Having that other person that can support you and know what you are doing is huge.
  3. Know that you are NOT your business. It is easy to tie your success as an individual to the success of your business but know you are so much more than your business and deserve to have a life outside of it.
